Özgür became a part of the Research and Analytics team in 2023 as a Data Analyst. His role involves performing data analysis, predictive modeling, machine learning, and supporting data visualization for the team. He is a certified data scientist and holds a Ph.D. in Security Studies from the University of Central Florida and a Master's degree in Maritime Security, Safety, and Environmental Management from Dokuz Eylul University in Turkey. Before joining this role, he gained experience working with the University of Central Florida, NATO, and the Turkish Navy. When not crunching numbers, he enjoys spending time with his family and engaging in activities such as cycling, tennis, and outdoor pursuits.
