Financial aid includes education loans for students and their parents, gift aid, and work study. Gift aid does not need to be earned (like work study) or repaid (like loans). Gift aid examples include scholarships, grants to help students with financial need, fee remissions for IU employees, and federal veteran's benefits designated for tuition and fees. Also, financial aid is funded from federal, state, IU, and private sources.
The financial aid reports found under the menu (see left) require sign-in by an IU staff member. If you are one of these staff members, please explore the financial aid menu options on the left. After selecting a particular report area from the menu on the left, click on the image of the report to open the report.
Note that these financial aid reports exclude a significant portion of federal pandemic relief funding from the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) as well as IU-funded COVID-19-related refunds of institutional charges. See the IR data guide on this on this for IU Staff with more information.
